The Iptables module consists of a number of scripts that are distributed amongst a node including the iptables class. Using these scripts, the module makes sure that iptables chains and rules propagate from the domain name specific configuration tree or general files/ tree, or a forked version of the module itself, onto the managed node and the iptables service is restarted whenever changes apply.
